Annual pin design competition!
Win a FREE TICKET to AAN’s 2024 conference
AAN is hosting a member-designed pin competition! The winning design will be created into a pin to give to our 2024 conference attendees and members throughout the year.
The winner will receive a FREE TICKET to the Our Voice. Our Time. Conference on May 2-3, in Edmonton (valued at $375)!
We want YOU–an AAN member–to design a pin that reflects the theme of our conference: “Our Voice, Our Time.” Key words include empowerment, unity, one voice, amplifying our voice, all nurses together.
How to enter
- Submit your design to [email protected] on or before, Jan. 17th, 2024.
- Include a description of your design and your bio.
- The submitted file must be a AI, EPS, CDR, or PDF.
- You must be an AAN member to be eligible.
- A winner will be chosen by vote by the AAN Board of Directors and notified by January 25, 2024.
- The winner will be asked to sign a consent form releasing creative rights of the design.
Guidelines
- The simpler the design, the easier it is to make into a pin.
- The pin may be any custom 2D shape.
- The pin will be one inch in diameter.
- The pin design must include “AAN” or “Alberta Association of Nurses.”
- Available finishes include antique (brass, copper, silvery), black plated, shiny (copper, gold, silver).
- The design can have a maximum of five colours (black and white are considered colours). The metal pin material is not considered one of the colours but will appear at the edge of the design.
- The design can include words, letters, or images (abstract or concrete).
*By submitting your design, you grant the Alberta Association of Nurses (AAN) permission to use your artwork for the purpose of illustration and creation of an AAN pin, releasing creative rights of the design. You warrant to AAN that the artwork is original and is in no way a violation of, or an infringement upon, any copyright belonging to a third party.*
