Renewing your registration license with the CLPNA

LPNs, the renewal period for your CLPNA registration opens September 9. Follow these steps to guide you through the renewal process.

Remember, you must renew by October 31 to avoid additional fees. Your 2024 practice permit is valid up to, and including, November 30.

If you’re not an AAN member yet, join us!

Steps to renew

1. Purchase or renew AAN membership

  • Renew at albertanursing.ca/renewals.
    • Not a member yet? Go to albertanursing.ca and click “Join Now” on the top bar of the screen.
  • Enter your CLPNA registration number in your AAN profile as it appears in your myCLPNA login.
  • Write down your AAN number.
    • Find your number on your receipt or by clicking ‘My Account,’ ‘My Profile,’ then ‘User Info.’

2. Renew your CLPNA registration

  • Log in to myCLPNA.com
  • Enter your current practice hours and add the number of hours you expect to work until Nov. 30, 2024.
  • Select your insurance provider.
    • Option 1: Use the direct link where you can optionally select and pay for a plan from Lloyd Sadd.
    • Option 2: Choose your own provider.
  • Enter your current employer information.
  • Pay and submit.
