AAN June Webinar: Indigenous History in Canada and How it Affects Indigenous Health

$20.00

By exploring some of the history of Indigenous people in Canada (the Indian Act, Residential schools, the 60’s scoop, etc.), we can directly relate and recognize how these acts affected Indigenous Health today. We’ll discuss the passing on of intergenerational trauma compounded with current trauma’s faced by Indigenous people, and how that affects their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Then we can discuss how reconciliation can occur at the bedside with our Indigenous people by understanding some of the cultural values Indigenous people hold.
