Dr. Chapman’s webinar presentation will begin with a broad overview of the role of the federal CNO, including a description of the ‘a priori’ agenda items for action and current policy priorities (ie. retention strategies). The underlying message of the presentation will be one of unity: Now more than ever, we need to be united as a profession. We are one profession despite different categories and regional and language differences. We must commit to promoting pan-Canadian harmonized approaches with opportunities for local and regional adaptation. It is now imperative to break down silos within the profession – there is no time for fractures within the profession in any of the work we do going forward – the health of Canadians depends on it.
