The Ted James Scholarship
The College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta established the Ted James scholarship. The scholarship honors Ted James, a pioneer in psychiatric nursing and the founder of the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta. The scholarship offers annual education awards to support RPN education.
The Kathy Howe Nursing Leadership Scholarship
The Kathy Howe Nursing Leadership Scholarship launched in 2025. The scholarship honors AAN inaugural CEO, Kathy Howe. Kathy was responsible for launching the Association on May 8th, 2022, and leading the association until her retirement in January 2026. The scholarship offers annual education awards supporting LPNs, NPs, and RNs.
