Renewing your registration number with the CLPNA

If you are an LPN or HCA in Alberta, the renewal period for your CLPNA registration opens September 8th. Follow these steps to guide you through the renewal process.

This year, LPNs will pay $350 for their registration renewal if they renew between September 8 and October 31. The fee for renewing from November 1 to November 30 is $550.

Steps to renew

1. Purchase or renew AAN membership

  • Renew at albertanursing.ca/renewals.
    • Not a member yet? Go to albertanursing.ca and click “Join Now” on the top bar of the screen.
  • Enter your CLPNA registration number in your AAN profile as it appears in myCLPNA login.
  • Write down your AAN number.
    • Find your number on your receipt or by clicking ‘My Account,’ ‘My Profile,’ then ‘User Info.’

2. Renew your CLPNA registration

  • Log in to myCLPNA.com
  • Enter your current practice hours and add the number of hours you expect to work until December 31, 2026.
  • Select your insurance provider.
    • Use the direct link provided during the registration renewal to select and pay for insurance from Lloyd Sadd.
    • Choose your own provider.

  • Enter your current employer information.
  • Pay and submit.
